And easier to get in to, those that don't qualify for FAFSA don't ask for MCAT.

Ross just recently started requiring MCAT, as soon as they got approved for FAFSA. Same thing with McMaster in Hamilton, Canada.

Good news! So is that they don't require the MCAT'S because people apply from the US and the Education system is supposedly good enough, or just as a way to make more money by attract from all over the world? I tell ya, even the Damn Canadians dont need to take the GRE's when they applying to get into the US. Just some measly TESOL/TOEFL test, even though English is one of the two languages spoken in Canada. :|

This!

Its like 5k for medical school and like 3k for master's and PhD. Two of my cousins went there for med school at a top notch location. And a Chinese education is respected worldwide.

I highly recommend studying abroad, in countries such as India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Turkey, China, Sudan and Egypt.

I think its because their focus is on attracting students from other parts of the world & not just the U.S. & Canada, most of these schools are part of a Common Wealth system or Dutch system depending on the country. They got their own forum too: http://www.valuemd.com/index.php

Education department pressures these Universities to require the MCAT if they want to be approved for FAFSA, I think the Education department is in cahoots with U.S. med schools who want to make the MCAT a standard requirement for all med schools that receive FAFSA. All it takes is some lobbying and boom, all sorts of ridiculous requirements get placed on students. The system is fixed so that only a few students can graduate as med students at any given time. So as to not inflate the health industry and saturate it with M.D.'s.

Less M.D.'s=More demand & more hospitals/patients willing to pay top $$$ to get treatment. It severely curtails competition in healthcare.
