There is a reason why houses in the South are so damn cheap. Let's just say you won't be getting a welcome pie from the neighbors once they see Black Muslims moving in.

If you bought the property outright and you are not paying riba, how is that on you? If all you are doing is fixing defects and what not... at the end of the day the property is truly yours and not the bank's.
If these houses are right next to Atlanta, do you think only nice folks will move/flock to there? I'm sure you have lived long enough to know what/whom cheap/free things attract.

In Islam, you just don't buy a property outright; you ask/inquire about its history, owners, developers, financiers, etc. Some Americans don't buy products whose manufacturing involve (i.e.) child labor, meager wages, etc. Would you buy a property from a Serbo-American who was involved in the massacre/genocide of thousands of Muslims in Bosnia? Would you buy a property from a bank, financier, developer, etc who channels some of the profits to Israel?

You have previously mentioned that you bought a cheap laptop from someone off the street. I wonder if you've wondered if the product was stolen or its purchase complies with the teachings of Islam.
What about your laptop? Why are you using a laptop, being fully aware that it was most likely manufactured with riba based bank loans and most likely by a corporation that is a supporter of Isreal and probably pays taxes to fund all sorts of wars in Muslim lands? How is your laptop different than a house? Why are you driving a car that was made by a corporation that deals with riba based bank loans & may have even received TARP funds; again riba based funds? If you're driving a foreign car, then they too probably dealt with interest at some point, not to mention paying taxes to fund all sorts of wars in Muslim lands?

You can't be selective, either practice what you preach or stfu.
