The governments of those countries weren't Islamist, so it's understandable why they helped Ethiopia, a communist country. During the first Gulf War, the secular governments (including Saudi Arabia) of many Muslim countries helped the USA against Iraq. The same thing happened during the recent invasion/occupation of Iraq. So, it's an issue of what those governments are based on. One thing is clear; no Islamist government would help a non-Muslim country against a Muslim country.

I also heard before that the Israeli air force were the ones who were conducting the aerial bombardment in Iidale, Daynuunay, Manaas and other places where the war was taking place in 2006. I have also heard the Israeli Intelligence has actually a presence in the Somali soil through NGOs and were actually bringing ammunition to all sides of the Somali conflict. I have met a Somali guy who told me both General Aidid and General Morgan were supplied by the Israeli intelligence in terms of ammunition thru an NGO. It turned out later on that this NGO was spying for Israeli intelligence in Northern Iraq in the late 1990s. If you also look at most of the western embassies that deal with Somalia, you will find that they are being populated by Jews who happened to be ardent Zionists. So, it is not a coincidence.

the only evidence for recent isreali involvement in somalia was when they sent a mossad team to xamar to negotiate with the warlords for help in capturing those involved in the attack on that isreali owned hotel in mombasa and the attempted attack on the el al flight with a stinger.

As for the 77/78 war..
yes the isreali had thier hands all over it.

The ethiopian airforce was better trained and experienced than the somali airforce as they were established in 1948 while the somali ariforce was still partially formed in 1960 and only fully matured in the mid 70s.
This show down between the 2 airforces never took place due to political chaos in addis abbaa.
The airforce ended up on the losing side of the conflict and nearly all officers where killed by the dergue or jailed.
Somalia had the sky all to them selves in the first weeks of the war..

The isrealis then interverned... with a ground crew engineers and pilots..
they got the ethiopian F-5A's overhauled and in the air within days.. and Isreali fighter pilots had dogfights witht the inexpeirenced somali pilots and blew them from the sky..

during the capture of jigjiga the ethiopians had air superiority but we still took the town.

Are you denying there were at least 1000 western special forces that were accompanying the Ethiopian invaders and were providing them with logistics, satellite imagery, and troop movements of the Somali mujahidiin?

If you are not denying any of the above, why are you then denying the involvement of Israeli Air Force in those battles? Sir, you are hallucinating in a day light. Actually, there was more than one country who participated in the air campaign after the Ethiopians could not beat the Somali Mujahidiin on the ground, and definitely Israel was among them.
