Probably majority of Sheikhash clan I know claim to be not to be Hawiye. It is confusing but who cares?

personally, i think haweeye are related by blood, its lineage links are so complex and there are so many disagreements, maybe it is a big group where they have an ''alliance'' and not a blood relation like us daroods or isaaqs. take the dagodiyas who claim to be haweeye, we karbashed them in the war of 1992 in kenya when they tried taking land from reer ali nasar ( Mohamed subeer)as they tried to exploite the somali civil war! some say they are not haweeye but islamzised oromas as they border the oromas and the ogadens who conquored the area just over couble of hundred years ago! , hence i dont think a lot of them are related by blood, may be bacause they might have been there for so long, why longer than daroods and isaaqa anyway! wonder if they have any links to the defeated ajuuran kingdom

There is Sheikkhaash And there is Sheikhaal. Sheikhaash claim to be descented of Abubark al sadiq, Their ancestor The fist islamic calif this is their abtirsi. How ever there is an hawiye version of them in the south And they are called martiire hiiraab And they are related Dont confuse the to The Sheikhaash that live in the hawd region. Are These people and those that live in in the south are hawiyes. Sheikhaash and Sheikhaal should not be confused.

You're right, the Sheikhaal or Sheikhash in Ogadenia always claim to be of Arab origin while the Lobooge of Mogadishu and southern Somalia claim to be Hawiye.
