If you want to know a prisoner that thoroughly deserved locking up it would have to be a serial killer or a child molester

I would have to say Nelson Mandela.

Nelson Mandela is depicted and revered around the world as a beacon of moral authority but investigations into his past has revealed a buried past of womanising, wife-beating and at least one hidden and abandoned love child.
For those reasons he deserved Robben Island.
