WTF there is somali christian website

Post by AhlulbaytSoldier »

http://somalichristians.org/english

Something tells me that they are becoming a visuable group growing in strenght so no one can say anymore ''100% in somalia are muslims''.
With Alshabab in power iam afraid more somalis will leave islam(due to ignorance such as hating islam because of shabab, and lack of food).

Actually, Al-Shabaab reduced if not brought to an end the amount of prosletyzing that was taking place in Southern Somalia. There were countless NGO missionaries that were taking place in Somalia and all of the ones in Southern Somalia were driven out. WFP, Christian Aid, World Vision and money others were all found to be prosletyzing the Somalis in Somalia. However, the covert missionary activities are taking place in the Refugee camps in Kenya, Ethiopia, Yemen, and in other parts of Somalia that is not under Al-Shabaab control.

The people of the book are allowed to practice their faith under Islam. Do you dispute the ruling made by God and his holy Prophet?

The Qu'ran says there shall be no compulsion in religion. If someone no longer believes in Islam in his/her heart, there is no reason to force them to remain Muslim. In fact, it's impossible for them to remain Muslim as they don't believe in their hearts in Islam. Threatening people with a sword will not strengthen Islam, but will simply weaken it by coercing disbelievers into the ranks. And I am not against Islam or any other faith, I simply don't like the ignorant trying to spout intolerance and hate. That's what destroyed Somalia, don't fuckin import it. Shit

But my point still stands. You cannot force someone to believe in a doctrine. You can force them into saying they believe, but they'll never actually truly believe unless they develop those convictions themselves.

Yes I do. And I made that decision independently even though I could never be punished for apostasy. That is what true Islam is. I am beginning to suspect you have extremist sympathies seeing as you suggest those who are tolerant are not really Muslim....

When I was in Jijiga couple of years ago, I met this Somali Christian guy. He said he was Djiboutian, but grew up in Canada and man said he was a proud Christian. Funny thing was when we were conversing normally, he would use words like Insha Allah, Walahi, Ilaahi ka baq , but he was using quite a lot of Islamic terminologies and phrases He was a nice guy thou, and diintiisa asaga bey jirtaa.

He said there are a number of Somali Christians in Canada. :|

Those are Arabic phrases, and not necessarily Islamic.
