Because the "Kids" are not a Government, they are a faction, armed group, etc. who do not even believe in the concept of a Government. I like National Assets such as Sea Ports to be in the hands of a Government.

His Salafi sheikhs told him AMISOM is part of the legitimate Islamic government in SOmalia, hence it is better for Ethiopia/AMISOM to takeover SOmalia and rape every single girl than the dreaed khawarij.

I don't get the connection with piracy and supporting AMISOM. AMISOM is stationed in Muqdisho, there is no piracy in Muqdisho or anywhere in southern Somalia for that matter. The piracy is in Puntland and parts of central Somalia. So how will supporting AMISOM help stop piracy?
