it doesn't matter what tribe he belongs to. what matters to me is the fact that he is a Somali and that his actions contradict my believe and norms and it irritates me a lot.

This ain't no scandal! c'mon guys, a few bad guys beat up somebody for a reason we don't fully know and it becomes a somali scandal? young men of any ethnicity do bad stuff. Read the same newspaper and see how many crimes it covers every day. I don't know if the newspaper mentioned but the assailants and the victim knew each other prior to the incident that led to the beatings.

You can say Somali scandal when the magnitude is like that of the walking bombs and the recent escort business.
