Re: Alla Soomaalidu fool xumo badnaa
Koronto,
I think you should rather tell us the planet you live on? Ever since the aftermath of the 1977 war the Somali nation has been on life support so no the departure of the dictator, as you would have as believe didn’t mark the end of Somalia. To put things in perspective hence the hit song in Mogadishu in those days: “Land Cruiser.”
(Rough translation of the song)
It’s a bad idea and wrong way of thinking
to buy a Land Cruiser while you beg for maize.
The house is dark
with no water flowing in the taps,
and the babies have no food to eat.
While seeing the shining car
and hearing the sound of its powerful engine
you think you’re powerful in the Horn of Africa.
Dear relatives, do you all agree with
the lack of food in our homes
without raising any objection about the luxury cars
and the buying of Land Cruisers.
It’s a bad idea and wrong way of thinking
to buy a Land Cruiser while you beg for maize.
Speaking of greedy men, officers in the Ministry of Agriculture during the dictator’s rule had already set the bar pretty high. The minister was a farmer, trader, landlord, everything. It was under the previous regimes watch that the inputs to small farmers were diverted to large estates owned by government officials... literally when the minister wakes up in the morning, the first thing he thinks about is his own business. Many of the farms taken over were from the despised and powerless Rahanweyn clan, so there was little fallout. Were talking about the minister who was supposed to help farmers produce food here... But in your fukket up logic the greedy ones are the alienated folk from up north whom have since taken charge of their ancestral land.
Ku lahaa, “their insignificant little clans have managed to turn cow dung in to shitholes.”
Actually, when it became apparent in Hargeysa and Garowe that no outside money was coming in, they took it upon themselves to do some needed repairs and they’ve succeeded on that little by little over the years. In the beginning some houses were rebuilt. Money started to trickle in from relatives in Europe and North America and the Middle East. Soon a mosque was repaired, a new hotel went up. Then someone built a power generating plant. And a satellite phone system was installed. So yeah, to some hateful folk of course this kind of a success is nothing short of cow dung, but for those of us who have their head out of the gutter, their success is a miracle.

Re: Alla Soomaalidu fool xumo badnaa
Would you have written this little melodramatic mish-mash of yours if Puntland was inhabited by Hawiye, let's say habargidir instead of your clan?
In your little, feeble brain, the miniscule "development" in Garowe is far more important than the death & destruction that still goes on in Southern Somalia. This is the reality. To you and individuals like you, it does not matter how many lives were lost, how much wealth was looted, how on the eve of Somalia's 20 year civil war, Somalia is still a state-less, anarchic, disaster. None of it is significant, because some distant, in-bred clansmen of yours have managed to construct a few mediocre, architecturally un-sound buildings in the middle of your ancestoral home among other things. This is your so-called accomplishment.
You, being the same Shilling who was forcing Abdullahi Yusuf & Ethiopians down our throats, preaching to us that it was for the better, that the Ethiopians and Yusuf were somehow going to unify Somalia, cleanse Mogadishu of vangrals, restore law and order. Not a single mention about Garowe then, then it was about resurecting Somalia, bringing it back from the ashes, and Yusuf was going to be its Mesiah. Now that dream is dead, your clan enclave is all that matters. Who cares how many minority clans have faced atrocities, how many Somalis yearn for justice, how many millions live in fear, poverty and uncertainty. Fuck them, as long as my clan enclave prosperous, fuck everyone else. This is the problem with Somalia and this was the same thing I said. No one in their right mind can say Somalia past was utopia, indeed it was far from it. But for millions of Somalis, they had peace, stability and dignity. All which have been lost.

I see some guys still didn't reply to my post, so I'll post it for others who haven't seen it:
This is a classic example of Calaacal at it's best. The fact is somalia witnessed a brutal civil war and it is still ongoing in the capital and surrounding areas. Some people decided to take matters into their own hands and build from scratch and whether you regard that progress as "brain-dead relative of yours building unsupervised buildings in the middle of a pile of dung" it doesn't improve mogadishu's situation.
The thing here is you miss the 'good ol days' living a life of luxury in the capital and surrounding farmlands, but you have absolutely no clue of the rest of the country. The citizens you refer to as 'brain dead' were still jobless and poor as they are today, although the signs of change are encouraging.
The truth is the country was only really the capital, including surrounding towns, and other southern cities. The rest of the country (PL&SL) were merely backwaters, with the exception of Berbera's port and airstrip. Furthermore, you could further argue that SL & PL citizens live far more freely than under the previous regime, where freedom of speech was denied and totalitarianism and nepotism were rampant.

Koronto,
Perhaps your suffering from some sort of dementia, it isn’t I who belittled any one clans accomplishment. When referring to Puntland and Somaliland your exact word again were “insignificant little clans who have managed to turn cow dung in to shitholes.” Check yourself before you play reverse psychology with me there little one.
That said, I don’t recall ever mentioning anywhere that the development in Garowe or Hargeysa is far more important then the death and destruction brought about by the Somali civil war. I wish our democracy had never been overthrown, I wish Somalia never had endured 21 years of dictatorship, I wish we had spread our wealth around rather then leave it all exposed under one roof... you see there are a lot of things I wish had never happened, unfortunately do to bad leadership our nation has endured a lot. Thus, as a result some nationals of ours did do to external and non-external factors dug themselves even further while others have made great strides under tough circumstances. Yes, “cow dung” or not, make no mistake about it Garowe and Bosaso has benefited from the fact that the wars of Somalia never reached these cities, in fact had it not been for the civil war both cities would have never grew and develop steadily as they have. At the arrival of the refugees from Mogadishu, both then villages were laterally razed to the ground and build from scratch in order to erase the complications of the predecessing village map and to utilize the available land to it’s fullest with the knowledge that there was large demand for land. After that Bosaso in particular witnessed a growth unnoticed by the rest of the world. The village which used to lie on the beach, now stretched all the way to the feet of the mountains miles away. The city even surpassed the hills that lead to the Golis mountains that give Bosaso a breathtaking view.
As for the previous TFG government, you know that I know you were the first to oppose the man, perhaps even the harmless son of Somalia’s last elected president too was a mark man in that little head of your for being another “in-bred” from that “insignificant little clan who has managed to turn cow dung in to shitholes.”

Shilling
I don't know if you've managed to grow a backbone over-night, but you have a history in these parts as a short-sighted lackey, don't you dare try to lecture me about my country's civics when we both know this is about your insignificant little clan. Yes, you heard me. Insignificant as in archaic, primitive, past-its-prime, useless, pointless and ancient - just like every clan in Somalia, including mine. The whole country is one, massive shithole, and you want to paint parts of it otherwise? If it helps you soothe your ego, who am I to crush your petty aspirations? As a matter of fact, I'll pull the plug on this attention-seeking thread of yours and say: yes, Somalia is better off today than at any other time in all its history! Why you ask? Because 2 regions out of a country of millions have managed to "get their shit together". Specially even more so, because D-Runner/Shilling/Transformer's ancestors hail from 1 of the 2 aforementioned regions. Are you happy now, adeer? Haye, sheekada waa dhamaatay. Raali noqo anigaaba gardarada iska lahaa.

Corruption played a huge roll in the destruction of Somalia, granted the rebel functions played a bigger roll but if it werent for Xaqdarada ka jirtay wadaanka they would never stand a chances. We can sit here and blame USC,SNM and SSDF for our downfall, laakin it wont change jack schit.
As for Puntland and Somaliland, they have done well for themselves, their success is our success, waa naal Somali oo idiil u shiidan
