As many people know Ilays T.V a new program set up by members of the Ogaden community began operating via Somali Channel, the objective was to test and then expand the program further even develop a separate station.The content of the program was mainly dealing with the "Halgan", many people subscribed and even people with T.V sets in Ogadenia could view the program a fresh breeze over the boring propoganda of state t.v, Meles Zenawis mouth piece.The dictatorship of Zenawi is extremely paranoid about the various media outlets and has worked extra hard to block and filter all media which doesn't conform to its ideas using its Chinese connections to do the technical work.Somali Channel uses a satellite based in Thailand, The dictatorship of Zenawi threatened Somali Channel and even got into a diplomatic spat with Thai officials over the satellite.Eventually it came down to either Somali Channel would have to cease operations or the Ilays program scrapped, Ilays decided to leave Somali Channel.It highlights the paranoid state of Zenawi, a mere program has shaken his power to that extent.The same issue is happening with an Axmaric t.v station ESAT, luckily Ilays is now working with an Eritrean channel and is back on air, accelerating meles's heartbeat to dangerous levels.



This is why you dont see Ilays on Somali Channel.
