What you don't read about in the tabloids are the billionaires who cheat the system. These are peanuts. Generous welfare benefits are abused by somalis and many others. There is a class dimension to petty crimes and there is hardly any news in that .

From a somali perspective, I have always wondered where the sheikhs and wannabe sheikhs are; they are probably busy abusing the system themselves. The moral decay of our society is given energy by the silence of the sheikhs. It seems that our faith is confined to being a dress code.
