Somalia Refused East african Bantu Alliance in 1962

Post by Coeus »

This Ugandan Political Analyst suggest Somalia should be part of East africa using force (qasab)
I argued that geographically shielded from the African continent by Kenya and Ethiopia, Somalia will forever be our headache until we absorb it into the fold of her East African neighbours.

This, in fact, was the point which Tom Mboya and Julius Nyerere made in 1962 when they flew to Mogadishu to persuade Somalia to join the East African Community.

But things did not work out, because at the time, the Somalis were emotionally involved in the agitation for a Greater Somalia.

They wanted Kenya’s North Eastern Province and Ethiopia’s Ogaden Province to be ceded to them.
Tom & Julius got a "hell no" from Abdi & warsame

No. Joining Arab Leaue was a very very Smart move.

Why?

Somalia got acces to the Arab market at a time when no African had great Economic relations to Arab countries ( except Sudan).

We sold livestock, fruits, tilts to the Arabs. In return the Arabs gave us huge amounts of Aid, provided education in foreign Arab countries for Somali students. Promoted benefits for Somalis in arab countries compared to other Africans.

What can bantu Alliance give Somalia? Their names are Julius & Tom saaxib. British controll their land & Indians controll their Economy they are copying European thinking with these "alliances"

Tell me just one bridge a stinky Arab ever built. Joining the Arab league is what today created Al-shabab terrorist.
Ever since joining that league they've done nothing but brain wash the Somali youth with Wahabism

The first thing that Somalia should do is leave the Arab league and join the East Africa Alliance. East Africa has a large market, where we can export too

i have said from day one that pres aden cadde was the smartest politician in somali history. he refused the commonwealth, the east african alliance etc, he did everything to stop somalia being a puppy doll of the west and her african tools, even cutting relations with britain because of the nfd. and no superpower dared to hog our lands with military bases during his time. but most importantly, all the while, he kept diplomatic relations with all sides of the game (except ethiopia) and got financial backing to support his regime and improve the economy albeit short lived. inshallah we will have a far sighted leader like him one day

do you even know what ''wahabism'' is? or do you want to inflict insult on a dead muslim scholar? your ignorance about deen is amazing, get some education before you inslult sheikh mohamed abdulwahab.

also wahab is one of the names of God, educate your self, dont just throw out things you hear from people in chat houses.

ps: get of your back side, how can a man expect another man to build bridges for him, get your act together and stop begging, you Somalis destroyed your own country yet want to make others fell guilty.
