It's true. I have noticed an atmosphere of disorderliness and awful customer service in every somali business from xawaalads to restaurants. I think it's because we are so insulated, we only cater for other somalis. When somalis decide to have non-somali customers as well, I think they'll be forced to up their game. That and the fact that 90% of the somali diaspora are geeljire refugees. When the war happened, I think our entire middle-class was wiped out.

Look at the difference when you compare the proffesionalism in Indian, Chinese and even xabashi businesses compared to Somali ones. If you have ever been in a somali restaurant - you know it resembles the chaos in the last scenes of doomsday - when the gog and magog come to devour everything.
