Nice video but the guy needs a better protocol officer. Whats with the saluting and walking ? The Honor Guard is supposed to salute him and he simply salutes back once.

He started in Soviet military academy in Ukraine (Odense), then trained in three American military schools after the shift: Carlisle, Kennedy School at Fort Bragg, and US General Staff College. He speaks Somali, Arabic, English, and Russian. His positions under the Siad Barre government included Police Chief, Commander of Training, and Deputy Commander of the Army in 1989.

He lived in Columbus, Ohio when he was asked to take over the dysfunctional Somali army and restructure it back.
