Remember when you used to run down to the corner store with a $1 food stamp to buy some potato chips and blue juice. Or waiting on the mailman to deliver the welfare check and running down to the Check Cashing Service to cash it and going shopping. I miss those days !

The game done gone digital with Ghettoamex cards no more cutting food stamp coupons while in the check out line and having them angry white folks staring at you.
:russ: :deadrose: maalmahas wey iga horeysa, but an education is not complete without going to Hood U.

What I've learned first-hand:

- The proper way to respond when somebody addresses you like this: "What the fuck you lookin' at?"

- What to do when you're being chased by a unleashed dog....climb on top of the nearest car.

- When you're encircled by youngins who want to earn their stripes and are making fun of your timo-jilic and Somali features, you're about to get jumped and/or robbed.... knuckle up or take immediate evasive action. Youngins have no functional understanding of the word "consequence" and will come at you even tho you're twice their size, just for the rep.

- When out and about on the skreets, don't smile. Or laugh. Or show any other facial expression besides a mean mug.

- When dealing with the Po-Po, throw a bunch of legal verbiage at them and watch them back off. Name drop an attorney, even a fictional one, and watch them scatter.

Hood U

The hood is in all of us. There's no escaping it. Embrace your inner hood, Areesa.
