We need to open organisation with cross clan appeal. Like trade unions and lobby groups for particular sections of society. Student unions, union for workers like the often exploited domestic workers, union of farmers, union of fishers, livestock traders and even a union for the unemployed seeking work. Parties could than compete for the support of those union members with promise of whatever incentives. Things like minimum wages, tax breaks, reduced tuition fees in the case of the students and so on..... This sort of thing will, in the long run, eliminate the problem of people only voting along tribal lines and ultimately ensure that we make the right kind of progress. This dan iyo duco and others like it only dig a deeper hole
