The Jubbaland drafting conference will begin on the 23 rd of this month Februrary and will conclude on the 8th of March. It was a long process, a lot of time spent on the constitution, the representatives, future power structure, etc but today ratification is being planned by a representative council of 500 allocated first on three provinces and then their districts.

Sheikh Aw-Libaax, the man who gave this life even before Kismaayo was captured is:

-A member of the roadmap which ended the transition (along with Sheikh Sharif, Sharif Hassan, Faroole, and Caalin)
-He is the undisuted head of Ahlu Sunnah as a political group in Somalia
-a member of the Marehan clan
-the chairman of the Jubbaland group of signatories (which include Ahmed Madoobe, Fartaag, Abdi Ali Hassan, Ghandi, and Darwiish)

All the signs point to being chosen by the 500 reps to brcome the first President of Jubbaland and make it stand up.
