How is garbage usually disposed in most towns? Where is it disposed and who does it?

Most of the time, people just throw their garbage outside. Most don't care to arrange some sort of landfill and garbage pickups unless they're sure they will be paid a good amount. Since such offers don't exist, most don't do anything about it.

I believe that is how plagues and other outbreaks of illnesses began. The garbage attracts rats and contaminates water supplies. So it's important for public health and safety for there to be some arrangements made.

I asked My cousin who went to Somalia recently how that is done. He told Me that theres people go around collecting money from people to dispose of their trash. Those people will take the trash from Your house everyday but You have no idea where they take it

Some nigga comes and picks it up and takes it to some dump in the middle of no where. Private businesses take care of it. Yeah its nasty but there is something even more nastier.

You have to see how they take out the shit out of the toilet. Some Somali homes (the older homes) have an out house where you squat in a hole and take a shit. When that hole becomes full (takes like maybe a year or two to fill up), some guy with some vacuum looking machine puts the pipe down the hole and sucks out all of the shit. The hole is huge. I put a flashlight to see how much was in there once. It was hundreds upon hundreds of gallons of shit and piss. One of the maids told me how one of their kittens fell down there If you are not from a large city, there will be no toilets. My grandmother had the outhouse thing while the rest of the family had toilets in their homes. I would never sleep at my grandmother's place, only go to visit.

Damn, this sounds crazy. But it also sounds like a business opportunity waiting to happen for someone.

waa beenta last time i went to xamaar there were no rubbish on the sides of the roads or even outside houses. But, the xafaad i used to live in had a landfill where people just go and dump there rubbish. I think overall we are much better than kenyans interms of how to better manage waste, i mean they dont even have a swege system inplace.
