Today they do not control Kismayo, nor are they in the position to, but there is an opportunity only through war in which they will surely lose. The numbers are against them, so is the political clout. But a chance is a chance, there's no doubt violence will breakout soon, sadly.

Kacaanists future depends on Kismayo
The impoverished and truly destitute Kacaanist Gedonian's whole future depends on Kismayo. Never have I witnessed a clan that needs a strategic town more than this lot, it makes the game a tad more interesting. What makes their claim to this town ever-so-more comical, is the fact that over the past 22 years, they've not taken the initiative to develop their own lands, which should infuriate true Waamo folks. In fact much of their lands have been taken over by others whose support they seek to take others land, the irony is lost on many.

Half my family is from Kismayo, we got property and my awoowe never left and died there, so yes it bothers me that people who have no stake will start unnecessary bloodshed in a place that they do not belong.
Thankfully, there's never been such unity between Waamo as is today, in the face of great perils, I hope they succeed, the future belongs to the righteous, do you agree?

True.
21 years they've spend wandering in the swamps of Gedo, waiting for their messiah to lead them to "the promised land", Kismayo.
Every other tribe has cities and regions which are developed to an extent, whereas Kacaanist regions are the most impoverished backwaters in Somalia. That's what happens when your whole history is revolved around thievery (booli qaran).

Nabad-diids have no place in Jubbaland, time to cut the cancer and ship it back to the Ethiopian border. Visit in the summer holidays and eat some of that smoked salmon from the beautiful Indian Ocean.
