For the national days. Baladweyne is very important for this govt, most leaders were born in there or around it.

The president
Farax abdulkadir
Caasho xaaji cilmi
Cabdikarim guleed
unlike other regions of Somalia, Hiiran region has produced most of the national political leaders including the head of Somali administration who led Somalia to independence Abdullahi Isse; Aden Abdulle Osman (the first president of Somali Republic); Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud, the current president of Federal Republic of Somalia; and money prominent opposition leaders and ministers such as Sheikh Ali Jimcale and Abdullahi Ossoble Siyad among others.
the current Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud’s  administration appears to be struggling as to how to pacify this region, even though the president Hassan Mohamoud himself, his right hand, the cabinet minister, Farah abdulqadir, the interior ministry and the homeland/security  minister Cabdihakim Guled, and the national resources minister Cabdirisaq Omar, to mention a few, are all from this region.

Where`s this "big army" your always talking about?
Shabaab still control most of the region even though their strength and numbers have been depleted.

If with all this investment and foreign forces they`re unable to defeat half starved youths what hope is there for SNA?

Apparently they came to also pay the troops their salaries and it says in the article that a band from Djibouti which includes Sangub is with the delegation. I'm guessing for the independence day celebrations. Good to reassure the city that the government is with them especially after what happened recently.
