Nasrallah has a point when he says that these groups are an existential threat to his movement and Lebanon. The reasons are the follwoing:

-Them gaining a foothold in Syria gives them a base to launch into Lebanon. I have no doubt these guys won't stop at nothing.
-Them defeating Bashar is a terrible loss as Bashar is a close ally and supporter of their movement and a good balance against Israel.
-Lebanon is especially vulnerable because of it's long and recent sectarian strife, the flames of which are being fanned as we speak.

Nevertheless, I do not think that Hizbullah involving itself military in the conflict in Syria was a good move. It caused too much scrutiny and focus on them versus the extermists, and it gave an opportunity to their enemies to use their involvement against them. Now, for the first time America has successfully lobbied the EU to brand Hezbullah a terrorist organization, specifically their military wing. At the same time, they have put into jeopardy the popular support and reputation they built up in Lebanon and in the greater Arab world. Now, they are seen as lackeys to Iran and Syrian their two biggest backers, and a sectarian Shia movement instead of only a formidable Arab resistance to Israel. Remember that Syria which had a military presence in Lebanon and heavily involved in domestic politics of Lebanon until recently, has been very unpopular with Lebanese. This was made even worse after the assassination of Rafik Hariri a popular Lebanese politician, Syria widely blamed for his death. Now more than ever, Sunnies in Lebanon have cause to worry, at what role this powerful military movement will take if Lebanon recedes back into civil war. It is ever-the-more of a blunder that Assad didn't need their help, though things didn't look good for him at the time.

Consequences of their involvement:
-Jeopardy of their connections in Europe, whether they be military or financial
-Jeopardy of their place in Lebanon
-Attention towards them by extremists (bombs, suicide attacks, etc)

Also, my last point, they got involved in Syria first, and made their arguments to their supporters and the greater Lebanese second. Which is never a good move if your argument is that you have your peoples best interests at heart and not another government.

It was purely practical move . one of preemptive nature . and as he himself stated so far Hezbollah has only taken part
in battles raging Homs Province which is the syrian province that borders Lebanon .
these people wont only pose threat to Shias put they will bring their Mayhem with them and will spare no unless on their side .

I don't know what you mean by " Now more than ever Sunnis in Lebanon have a cause to worry " Lebanese Sunnis have nothing
to worry about instead they should be paying their thanks to Hezbollah for stopping the flood .
Hezbollah ever since its creation never posed threat to Sunnis they don't go run around yelling Allahu Akbar while detonating Bombs in Mosques
They are a well structured Organization of Social , Religious, Political and Military wings . we don't know what their Hidden yet unexposed Agendas are
but so far their actions match their words and they have proven to everyone that they are formidable anti Zionist Imperialism Party .

Unless one is feeble minded to buy into Sunni vs Shiite connivingly orchestrated propaganda its clear to everyone that what Hezbollah did at
Al-Qusair was a necessary practical measure taken just in time .

I think my points still stand, their involvement in Syria was not a make-or-break moment, therefore unnecessary for that level of risk. Because of it, there has been car bombs in the heart of their areas of control. It has fueled anti-Hezbullah rhetoric in Lebanon. And if you do not think there is a Shia vs Sunni conflict then you are ignoring most of Lebanon's recent history. They had a civil war as long as ours that completely destroyed their country. You are also ignoring the majority of blame and criticism Hizbullah got after the death of Rafik Hariri, a prominent and popular Sunni politician. Lebanon is a very much divided country that is barely held together.

You know what you have raised couple of good points and you are right no matter how unfortunate it sounds
Hezbollah is not as popular as they used to be in the Arab world, But if you put yourself in their shoes would you
ever let snake crawl towards you . Hezbollah saw a clear and present danger and when it comes to your survival
I guess no one would give a damn about his popularity . ever since this so called revolution begun the rise of extremist
Salafist in Lebanon increased fastly and thats even way before Hezbollah joined the Fight and the sad truth for Hezbollah Critics
is that they gotta realize a Jihadist only takes another even more extreme Jihadist as a friend and ally , I am Sunni wont save
your ass from their mayhem .

Hargaysaay, politics is also about timing. Hezbollah made their move much too soon. Instead of confronting an existential threat they appeared to be an extension of Assad's forces. Also, it is Israel's wet dream that Extremist Sunnis start turning their attention on Hezbollah, and the two doing Israel's work for them. Who could of predicted this would happen after 2006 and Israel's humiliating defeat? I sometimes think these Gulf Countries and Israel are working together, because they sure have the same policies for the middle east.
