Lee Daniel's ...The Butler movie...

Post by Basra- »

I watched it today. It was dreadful. Well, not so dreadful but tolerable in some scenes, I particularly liked the Historical part where the different Presidents being show-cased. As a perpetual student of History I enjoyed this part. The movie is about a Negro Butler who serves the white house from 1957 -1982. He served nearly six presidents, basically grew old in the White house. Oprah Winfrey plays his funny wife. I think Oprah is the most interesting part of the movie. That fat negro former Talk show host is a natural actor.

Anyway---Overall, it was not an atrocious movie but tolerable with a few funny scenes that will endear to audiences. I did not like the repetition of the word Nigger through out the movie, and the unnecessary highlighting of the Nazi racist KKK joke. Other than that-- its an O.K production.
