Hadn't realised there was a community of expats living there.

There could be. There are some NGO's in many parts of Somalia not just Mogadishu. And now the UN is opening offices in Xamar and firing some of the Kenyans who used to work UN Somalia offices in Nairobi. You know gaal will be there wherever there's money.

Somalis don't like their country. They are either migrating from it or killing each other inside..So other nationalities would gladly relocate in this beautiful abandoned nation..Why not? More are on their way... :Shrug:

The architecture might be rubbish but the country itself, the hills up north to the lush regions down south and the beaches all around, not to mention the weather. In that way the beauty is timeless.
