Should Amiir Godane have a monument in Moqdisho?

Post by samatar133 »

I believe he should. He is a great anti colonial somali nationalist leader. He defeated Ethiopia, liberated Moqdisho and inspired many young somalis for a noble cause. He intends to unite Somils from Djibouti to NFD. Somali people have not seen a leader like him since Axmed Guray.
Why wait till he dies? why not honor him now and erect a monument for him in the center of Moqdisho?

Ashabaab was started by Dahir aweys, than taken by Abu mansoor and then the leadership after a feud were given to Godane by Dahir aweys!,.....so by all means Godane is nothing but a newcomer into a late game that is about to finish.

Alshabab was led by Ceyroow until he was killed by a missile strike and taken over by Godane. Dahir Aweys came to Shabab with his tail under his legs after being defeated by them.

Perfect Order, refrain from trolling the mans thread. It's a serious question

Samatar, how about erecting a statue for Siad Barre in Hargeysa? He was a great anti colonial somali nationalist leader. He fought Ethiopia and intended to unite Somalis from Djibouti to NFD. Somali people have not seen a leader like him since Axmed Guray. Why not honor him now and erect a monument for him in the center of Hargeysa?

If Siyaad Barre wasn't a clanist your questions would make sense.

You know nothing bro, those guys are his companions and helpers but they also deserve appreciation too.
Amiir Axmed Godane is in par with Mujahid Axmed Guray since he already surpassed Sayid Cabdille Haasan.
But those three Mujaahidiins all deserve our admiration and appreciation.

unfortunately Siyaad Bare was clanist and divider but the Amiir xafidahu laah is above clanism and other unpatriotic deeds.

Waryaa Evens this is not a clan topic, if you want a clan bashing topic, the clan section is that way

Let me but the question in other way: with these three men Muj Axmed Guray, Amiir Axmed Guray and Sayid Maxamed Cabdille who deserve a monument and who does not deserve one and why?

None of them least of them godane..simply because of his cowardice actions...monument should be erected on basis of ever lasting success not failure or short lived achievements
