Somalis are so backwards with this sometimes. People with legitimate schizophrenia, paranoia and other disorders are shunned by society as being possessed. Quran is read over them, and holy water splashed on their face, instead of (sorry but it's true), real treatment. I've seen it often, but mostly with reer miiye

I've heard and seen plenty of b.s. Jinn are not to blame for everything, and if you think everything will link to being possessed, as OP said, some people can trick themselves into believing they are indeed possessed.
The power of the mind is incredible, in that one can replicate symptoms including the super strength some people report. Having anger issues doesn't mean a jinn took over either. You just need to chill the fk down
