You do realise that by advocating for qaxootinimo and fleeing your country, you are actually compounding Somalia's problems and depleting it of any manpower.

let me inject my unwanted two cents here. First, i start off saying that i admire your wadanimo. To get back to your comment, the depletion of manpower becomes a worry and problematic if the country was stable and peaceful to begin with. But right now qaxootinimo is necessary, every parent wants safety, education, good health for their kids, etc and would migrate to wherever they think they will attain that from.

I have been stopped like dozen times and what I noticed is these Kenyans are real dumb. Tonight I come from Downtown and I got stopped @ Nomad hotel area and here how our convo went.

Fufu: Show me your ID
Me: hands out his American Passport
Fufu (while looking at the passport) : why don't you speak swahili
Me : I am on a visit here and I have never been here , plus It's not required for me to speak swahili since I am an American citizen

Me: Well I am
Fufu : maybe the passport is fake, somalis are good at making fake passports
Me: Hands out the American embassy phone number and asked him to verify

Me : can i have my passport back now?
Fufu: you are under investigation
Me : ok I will wait.
Fufu ( after talking about 10 mins ) : give us some dollars and we will let you go

After like 20 mins they let me go cursing me in Swahili

be careful bro, Somalis taught them bribe, so even if you come from America they harass you like you are refuge, have emergency numbers of America embassy officials in your wallet, and carry a copy passport, not your real one, in case they try to hold it. also don't pay a dime, you are there legally, and call your embassy if they is still insist on holding you.
when I was in the airport, they ask me for vaccines and health certificate, I said I don't have it, and I don't know how its necessary, since I'm a young health man. and i got all my shots and can print them or call my doctor to email it. btw, there were a bunch of forefingers on the plane, but non were stopped, only two of us Somalis. so I said, that I will call my US embassy, and they get scared, and she just said, why don't just give me $10, and I give them and they let me go, I'm even regretting giving them, I should video taped and post it online. but we Somalis are impatient and don't want the inconvenience of fighting for our rights, that is why we are abused everywhere.

Cherine - The crackdown and the constant harassment by these monkey Kenyans is happening in Nairobi, and mainly in Eastleigh, where the richest Somalis in the world are. Now, Kenyan authorities MUST realize it is in their best interest to guarantee the safety and the well-being of these investors because if this thuggish and criminal behavior by their security forces (which are no different than thieves) continues they will leave one day. If that happens their already weak economy will crumble faster than the fall of Afweyne's regime. Think about the tens of thousands of Kenyan workers who are employed by Somalis who won't be able to afford a loaf of bread if Somalis were to leave. What about the all those properties that are rented by Somalis?
