gratitude/empathy back home and in the diaspora

Post by LobsterUnit »

She is always late with the money.she doesn't support us that much. So and so sends much more money than her.this is what they say to a relative of mine who tries her best despite being on minimal wage.i know this gives her stress. Sometimes i think soomaalida naaxarista and gratitudeka Ku yar. As for those residing in the west,Some of them have very little empathy for people who maybe be tired after a long day at work;recognition of emotional wellbeing is almost non existent.i have seen xalimos leave a young lady to look after their kids and they go off on holiday.i have seen a fifteen year old girl scrubbing the floors, taking the kida to sleep whilst she has exams.and the mother is chilling, watching somali tv.rarely do they ask if the individual is ok with these.things are assumed.you get a phone call to accompany someone and interpret for them 1 hour before the appointment.no wonder so many families are breaking down and depression is rife.i am baasto the champion of the people.

People depend on others too much, this in turn makes others resent them.

Be thankful you have a roof over you head, food to eat and security.
