Congratulations to the Puntlanders

Reer Puntland are slowly being an honest people and more in touch with the reality. So I like to extend them my congratulatory message to them. We really should not be feuding over none sense issues and remember it was Barre who orchestrated the Isaaq-Majerteen differences. He ingeniously used Isaaq on Majerteen and Majerteen on Isaaq

Siad Barre was very intelligent man though I don't agree with 50% of his ideas. Yes 50%. He had some good ideas and he did really try to build a viable state for the nomads even though he didn't think beyond Mogadishu when it came to Somali Republic. It had nothing to do with tribe. He abandoned and neglected his native Gedo despite the fact that he was born in Shilabo, Qoraxey, Ogaden Region.

So how were Puntlanders honest this week?

Welll;

A) They admitted that the real President of Somalia and the so called Somali Federal Government is none other than UN-agent President Nicholas Kay
B) They admitted that they can not face the Somaliland forces
c) They rejected Nicholas Kay's ambitious goal to loot Puntland off the coast of Puntland using Shell & ExxonMobil and Hawiye agents as a front men

All three are valid reasons to congratulate them. Personally I hold no ill against them and their ideals and views are inline with both Somaliland and Ethiopia. I also like them for the fact that ONLF is no safe haven in their region.

Isaaq and Darod are natural rivals due to the fact that in the past as nomads they always competed over water, camels and their own ideas of politics but really you can't use the word "hate". They remain the biggest inbreeds despite all the chaos that very few nomads instigate.

In large an Isaaq can travel from Berbera to as deep as Garisa without any issue and a Darod can go the opposite too.

The Somalis intend to see only negatives in all aspects of life.

More Daroods support Somaliland than anyone outside Isaaq. Thousands of them live, work and play in SL cities such as Hargeisa.

Overall they are much closer to us than Hutus geographically, culturally and historically.

Don't always dwell too much on their negatives mate. Also give them credit when they do you right and do each others right. This isn't a sign of weakness as Somalis think but rather humility and maturity.

The Majerteen for instance is misunderstood. The majority of them are good people. The Omar Mohamud, especially Reer Qalaf, gives them the negative image but Majerteens such as Osman Mohamud and Cise Mohamud are excellent folks
