The First Date: What should it be like?

Post by BlackVelvet »

1. Are you thinking no pressure, just a coffee, if we like talking we could stay for hours and if we don't no harm 30 minutes is more than enough to finish that one cup.

2. Or are you the traditional meal date, i.e. going to a restaurant.

3. Finally is it more about what you're doing than where you are i.e. for you it's about doing an interesting activity e.g. cooking, skating

More importantly

What is the perfect "first date" outfit?

For the woman: simple and casual (smart jeans) or girly/feminine (cute skirt) or womanly/feminine (nice dress)

As for guys ladies would you want a guy to wear anything other than jeans? Would you be put off or impressed by formal dress on a first date? Guys what do you prefer?

I love peplum tops, nice blazer, jeans and small pair of heels.

I like the dinner idea.

No, it's about getting to know each other. I like to explore his mind and see what he's about, and I can't do that if we are skating lol, that's for the second date.

P.s, I missed your romance threads!

That is exactly the kind of outfit I'd wear but a part of me is liking the dress, you know the "I am a wooohooo-mahaaaan" feeling with long hair flowing and dazzling  over-imagination

I know what you mean, life is not as bright without love and romance in the air

Sorry, Casanova has been banned from all relationship topics and commentary. I overheard the mods deciding that. :Heh:

I would go for a maxi dress or nice pair of jeans and a simple sheer blouse with small heels paired with a fitted leather jacket or a blazer.

I love a smartly dressed man! Jeans and a white T with matching foot wear is cool too depending on what we're doing.

I too awkward for dinner dates :snoop: eating in front of him is a no no. I much rather he took me to the pictures or to take long walk somewhere nice in order to pick his brain.

You know what would be awkward is the greeting, hello and goodbye. I don't generally hug people who are not close close and not guys generally, there's always the super friendly colleague you can't escape.

Lakin what do you do? Handshake is ridiculously formal and a hug is just unnecessary so what...a nod?

If I've agreed to a date with you, and I wasn't turned off by the end of it, yes I would hug goodbye.

I would dress normally, hoodie and jeans.

I don't do formalities, so i would be straight forward and nice to her, and if I find her sexually attractive, I would definitely try to kiss her not once but for a long period time(no shyness will be display from my part). If she is shy I would let her know that i appreciate her looks and that I'm drawn to her as a woman.

1. I wouldn't let her just stand in front of me and talk bla bla, i would want her to be in my hands.

2. I love touching there faces gently and whisper all kind of dirty words to her ears

3. touching her ass and sayin woow

All in All it has nothing to do with sex just want to honor her woman-hood and so that she can leave feeling more of a woman and happy with herself.

No to restuarants, cinema or malls, but just somewhere else with bench. :P :eat:

That is a more feminine alternative than the head nod for sure
