^ No.. you misunderstood what I said, the husband has to have the monetary responsibility in the household, i.e being capable to provide for the family, but in this case I was assuming Jas meant if both were working (dual-income marriages), which is something that I personally disagree with.

Women are rabbatal-manzil, just because we live in a age unparalleled in history in terms of entertainment, luxury and desires doesn't mean we shouldn't forget that.

The husband should always cover the rent, insurances and utilities bills,while the wife should cover the basic things like the groceries, clothing,etc.

Of course! The husband is obliged to provide for his wife and children and pay for everything regardless of who earns between the two. That's why men have more responsibilities in Islam. He is the BREADWINNER!
