Two years ago a Pakistani married to a Somali female killed her and the baby.

Now you have an Indian-African wipe out the whole family..

Poor lady lived a secluded life, hiding her issues from the general Somalis in Tdot for fear of being told "how can we help you when this man does not have the same qabiil accountability where we could go to his odayaal".

Ladies, remember, a Somali guy can be shamed to stop abusing you buy a foreigner will wipe your family out.

Please stick with your brethrens.

For heavens sake, she lives in Canada. 1 call to 911 would send him to humiliation. She was strong hard work woman. She is a nurse she should know abuse is not okay. She didn't need to deal with Somalis law of the land was in her side.

It's facinating how women all the walk to put up such a thing!

Hyper, you are absolutely adorable.

But you will also know that the justice system, no matter where you are in the world can and DOES fail women. If she is like many women, she probably did call before and was threatened with far worse than a beat-down.

Menace you will also know that the Somali justice system is sometimes far too lenient on abusive men. Asking for xaal, or just telling him he needs to stop. Brothers of the wife are usually even told to not interfere and beat him to a pulp - which he deserves.

Do not presume to know what some of these women are facing. Being with a Somali man may keep you from being slaughtered by a jealous husband, but it doesn't mean that your families will immediately intervene and separate her from him (especially in the cases where there are children). Even if it takes time, the abuse will continue until she's finally away from him.

evol, i really know what you talking about and i deal such thing daily. some times i want to yell at their faces and say, just do not go back, once abuser is abuser!!

but what i nioticed in my practice, depends from family to family what is consider an abuse. some times i tell my client, once he rises his voice in anger run far away!!

who remembers that nigerian man that killed a somali woman few years ago in Toronto, and after he killed her, he cut her up into peices and threw her in a dustbin.??

Women are weak sxb..a man could knock their teeth down and they will still get back with him..case in point hyper, there's a big case here in the states regarding an American football player( these guys are so powerful and strong that if they punch us we would suffer from migraine headache for life) punched his fiancé to oblivion and guess what ? She went back with him and now she is his biggest defender ..therefore, when a woman is getting abused by her man they don't think correctly

fly, i know, you cannot help some one doesnt want to be helped. that woman you mentions maybe she was culculating the money and life style she lves.

some women will go on and on, how their husbans nice and gentle and it was just one time!! never heard abuse 1 time.

also this somali lady, system failled her. she was in women's shelter for 3 week and was kicked out to rent place cause she was earning good money and wasnt qualified for housin!!!

people tell your sisters in very young age, no one can abuse you even verbelly!

tell them they deserve to be happy and safe, not to shame them when some one abusing them and look excuses for it.

never blame a victim. nothing a victim can do to deserve to be abused including marrying ajnabi. she can marry jerk she wants and still not her fault.

wallahi it aint the ladies fault for what happen. plus da miskeen kids. but keepin it 100 when somalis marry out they loosen da ties with the community. its a hard but sad fact. happens to the men to, only diff is the men can divorce n start new life with a somali queen. dats the messed up part about our culture. when somali women with ajnabi men they can't go back n marry their somali men after divorce n sadly they get less protection.
