Desalegn asks IOG to calm Issa leader- Indian Ocean

The traditional Issa elder Moustapha Mohamed Ibrahim, based in Dire Dawa, has drawn the wrath of Addis Ababa.
The creation of three kebele (small administrative entities) administered by the Issa within the Afar Regional State is a cause of ongoing concern for the Ethiopian authorities.

During his official visit to Djibouti on 7 February, Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn asked Djibouti President Ismaïl Omar Guelleh (Issa) to intervene with the Ethiopian Issa.

He wants IOG to persuade them to accept the federal arbitration decision ordering the Somali Regional State to hand the three localities situated on the Addis Ababa-Djibouti highway back to the Afar Regional State.

He even pointed a finger of accusation at the Ogas Moustapha Mohamed Ibrahim, based at Dire Dawa and the ethnic group’s highest traditional authority.

He considers the Ogas fuels Ethiopian Issa resistance to handing back these localities. For his part, the President of the Somali Regional State, Abdi Mahmud Omar, known as Abdi Ilay, deems the Ogas an ally of “anti-peace elements” principally one of the leaders of the Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF, opposition) currently living in Sweden, Riyaleh Hamud.

This situation benefits Mohamed Hassan Hersi, the son of a former Ogas who had unsuccessfully tried to inherit his father’s function.

Now the Ethiopian regional government’s new intermediary, at the end of January he was invited to meet Abdi Ilay and his team in Shinille.

On this occasion, the latter introduced him to an Ethiopian Federal Government delegation consisting of Addisu Legesse, a member of the executive committee of the Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF, ruling coalition), the Minister for Federal Affairs Shiferaw Teklemariam and Tsegaye Berhe, national security advisor to the Prime Minister.

During this meeting, Abdi Ilay made no secret of his intention of helping Mohamed Hassan Hersi to become the next Ogas after the general election in May.

Ogaden aya marki hore Dire Dhaba raaciyaay Oromia marki danbi waxay Beelaha dega Diri Dhaba iyo Oromodo isku af gartiin in ay Dire Dhaba noqotay Chartered City such as Addis Ababa.

And the history repeat itself. Another Ogaden politican, Abdi Mahnoud Omar " Abdi Illey " handed the three localities, Cadaytu, Cundhufo and Garmalu, situated on the Addis Ababa-Djibouti highway to the Afar Regional State.

Sheekhal tribe did the right thing when they left Somali Regional State to joined Oromia to get rid of Ogaden harassment.

The question is whose land will be handed next?

You niccas need a dose of reality haduu nin Ogadeen siyaasi ah oo kililka ku jira wax tari karo dadkiisa ayuu Itoopiya ku dhihi dhibka iyo xasuuqa halaga daayo. These Kilil politicians hold no power and do not question the TPLF, the aim behind these transfers of land to these neighbouring regional states is to manufacture a conflict either now or when convenient in the future. Making Oromos, Somalis and Afar fight over villages is in their interest and its a card their holding to use in the future and some border conflicts have already occured. The Oromia regional state unlike the Kilil at-least has some members that are pragmatic and willing to further the interest of Oromos and they have organised a scheme to take those lands in collusion with the TPLF because they know the Somalis are powerless to do much about it. I don't know much about the new areas being transferred but its another ploy to keep these neighbouring areas at each others throats, the Oromos and Afars are being told that these lands belong to them originally and somalis have taken these lands in the past through conflict or migration. We don't have the weight of the Federal Government behind us, Afars and Oromos are much better represented in Addis ababa so they can make these moves against the Somalis. The Kilil is different to the other areas of the country, There is consistent armed conflict in our region and hence Federal politics regarding this region is all about maintaining the military presence and keeping ONLF at bay. So don't blame Ogadeen when things happen to non-Ogadeen because OGs are the biggest victims of this regime, every week we hear of this vilage been pillaged and so and so being killed because the Ogadeen populace maintains the resistance. The Issa have an internationally recognised state that is untouchable even if they went against Ethiopia because of their relations with the French and America furthermore its a life-line for Ethiopia in-terms of trade, why hasn't IOG used his weight to tell Ethiopia to leave his folks and land alone instead of furthering the occupation and now building pipelines so he can cash in on the plunder of the regions resources. What can the bottom-feeder Ilay do when IOG can not even lobby for his folks? I would say Ilay is even better than IOG since he has on rare occasions armed some tribes in the border and his militia have fought the Oromia state invaders in past clashes. Djibouti is the only Somali state that can speak on the plight of the Somalis in that region, the rest are legitimate lackeys that Ethiopia toys with.

Its time Shinile fought harder, Riyaale xaamud is a high ranking ONLF Issa give him the support he needs to hit the Ethiopians where it hurts since IOG will do nothing.

No one will fall for the Cagdheer crocodile tears. They use Ethiopia (Liyu) and their ''liberation movement'' to harass other Somalis just like how they used the WSLF under Afweyne to settle historical scores during and after the 77 war yet they're crying about other regions handed to Oromos and Afars playing that fake ''liberation'' card.

Djibooty is a weak shithole and the fat neef is more worried about his opposition and Somaliland hence his involvement in Walaweyn affairs but when Somaliland regains its independence we'll regain Hawd, leaving the Cagdheer to their Palestinian like state and we'll teach the Walaweyn and Djibootyians a lesson.

Sidee bay ku aqbalayaan inay dhuumo shidaal la mariyo dhulkooda iyagoo dhulkiiba caraf iyo dawalda dhexe xoog kula wareegayso.
