Is it located in Xamarweyne district? Can you post some pictures?

Do they accept interns or lecturers with bachelors degree?

Unless you are of the clan of the Dean of this so called university forget it. You won't be hired. You have to be of a certain clan anywhere in Somalia to get a good job or know someone

Not true, the reason why business and education has done so well in Xamar, is a lack of qabil discrimination. But it does help if you are religious.

Mr Know it all, please just shut up for once. You have a nasty habit of looking at things in black and white.

:childplease: A while ago this girl who left to Xamar from ATL she wanted to open a school for the orphanage kids. I remember she went through hell for her papers to be approved in order for the school to open. Qabiil is everthing when it comes to Somalia if you don't got contacts you might as well not try.

LOL all the great universities and business operate outside of the government, and despite the government.

^ Sorry, but no. You have to go through the government for licenses and special permissions to build/operate. If you don't know someone, you will either exhaust your funds with all the side cash you need to dole out, or you will become demoralized with how long the wait times can be.

It is not red tape you need to go through, it is purposeful assistance of 'this guy is my cousin, pass his papers through'.

It is what it is, and inshaAllah Allah will help Somalis to see the light.

Most universities and businesses were built and founded before tfg and these other governments. They don't rely on government assistance. They are totally self-sufficient, and if you look at their professors, board members, students, they are very diverse, and are more merit based.

I am not talking about how the government runs, because we all know for what it is. But the private sector and education sector are much more merit based. Remember the OP asked about a university and not a government position.

^ PO, you should read her post again. How is it possible to even open a university if you don't get the license required?
