Are you planning a nature birth without epidural?

I had no epidural when I gave birth and found the pain tolerable and so did my friends who opted without it. Be on top of your breathing exercises, that helps a lot. InshaAllah Allah will make it all so easy for you

The UK mom's don't let you have epidural because they think it leads to future backpain and paralysis..

My uk folks the gas and aiR lord that's the only reason I had babies and became a midwife ..i ain't going to lie I use it at the end of my shift :lawd:

Im planning on doing just gas and air. No epidural cause I fear complications. In sha Allah it all goes smoothly for me and quickly. Im already experiencing menstrual-like cramps ( possible Braxton hicks).

Gas and air you can feel everything it just gets you high so the pain is bearable because your literally laughing. Mind over matter sort of thing it's the most natural pain relief. I have a low pain threshold if I can push out babies so can you.. Inshallah everything will be fine

What is this gas and air deal? lol In the US they offer you epidural and ice water

I wish you all the best, Self D.

Salaam dear :rose: loool I think if my labor ordeal wasn't as short compared to the time it take most women, I would have asked for drugs as well. One of my friends went through labor without drugs for over 24hrs....gacan ba u tagay naagtas. She lives to brag about it.

Next time, I'm trying water birth

Aisha

Does it actually alleviate the pain? I have never heard anyone (providers and others) mention this in the US. Interesting.

Sienna
Awww but baby won't. Baby is already in water in the womb so it's going from water to water without the introduction of air. This allows the lungs to remain callapsed till air is drawn to baby at the surface. This is when baby takes its first breath. Amazing huh? It's extremely safe and natural.

LOL I know it won't actually drown girls but I'm just too paranoid, anything can happen. You can never be too careful. :D
