Help Fleeing Somali Refugees Coming From Yemen

BV, UNHCR will never have it under control. Somali diaspora should step into the plate , so at least the new Somali refugees from Yemen can be helped and settled in their home towns, so they can start their lives again. We should be sending donations to the ulema whose names are listed there.

I have very little faith that the money will make it to the people it's for. That said I've been wrangled into donating; it's your intention that counts...

It will reach them. I've seen how the religious community in Somalia takes care of the poor. I have seen calls made in Somali cities, especially in Bosaso, where sheikhs were using load microphones to encouraging the people to help the poor. They were not collecting it but calling people to help feed, shelter, and employ the poor and the IDPs. There were sheikhs whose sole job was to go around the city and encourage people to do so. I have seen them collecting it as well and distributing the money to the poor also.

Fyi, I have seen many Somali women - both elederly and young women - who were in dire need and they were helped by the religious community and the community as a whole. In Somalia, there are many people - men and women - who do good. Never doubt their intention, donate to them, and pray to Allah that he will return it to you in million times and he will take you to Jannatul Fardwosa.
