I guess dying during worship might have something to do with it. Forgiveness is close to Godliness and since none whites are more spiritual and God fearing it goes with the territory.

Lots of people asked themselves how easily black South Africans were willing to forgive after the Truth and reconciliation commission was set up. I myself cannot get my head around that one up to now. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that blacks should have gone on a killing spree but on top of forgiving they also hade to throw in a bonus and give immunity to the Apartheid remnants

So for people of faith forgiveness open the way to God. Purely from religious standpoint.

i dont know what these other guys are talking but i like dr west, as you said, he is a straight shooter, he says it whats his in heart, he speaks for the poor, minorities and even muslims, i saw him speaking at pro palestine rallies, my only problem with him is that he goes a little too far when he is talking about obama lol, he doesnt have to call him names to criticize him
