Genetic compatibility test: The Somali perspective
You remember that research on how you can smell your perfect partner? Basically the one you are most compatible with is the one who smells the nicest to you. They smell the nicest/you are attracted to them because their body is able to fight diseases which you can't (romantic I know).
So there is a test that you can take part in, starts with a swab of saliva and your results will tell you who you are compatible with.
My questions is, as a Somali what's your take knowing that with a generous assumption of 15 million Somalis still only make up 0.2% of the world's population and they are the ones who share the most genetic similarities with you? By mating and having children with someone who is similar to you, all you're doing is weakening your bloodline. Worse still if you're ending up with your second or fifth or 12th cousin. Or is it a risk you'd happily take to keep your family purely Somali?
If you're already married to a Somali, I am sure you've sniffed out the perfect gal/guy. To the singles, does this make you want to sniff someone next time you're on a date?

Ask your parents if the risk was worth it...BVSNet wrote: By mating and having children with someone who is similar to you, all you're doing is weakening your bloodline. It's called arousal stimulating chemicals , that shit works subconsciously basically we're civilized animals we can't escape that animalistic instincts ,
And why limit yourself to one kind , there is a plenty of fish in this planet

Smh you'd need to find a non creepy way to do it. You guys have no game
We need some variety
Patents did it, grand patents, great grand parents and everyone in the bloodline. After a certain point it just gets unhealthyPrlnce wrote:Ask your parents if the risk was worth it...BVSNet wrote: By mating and having children with someone who is similar to you, all you're doing is weakening your bloodline. Actually that's a myth...there is only social and legal disapproval in society but no scientific evidence of weakening your bloodline. 20 to 60 percent of all marriages outside of Somalis are between close biological relatives looks like we ain't the only one.BVSNet wrote:Smh you'd need to find a non creepy way to do it. Heavily perfumed girls makes this sniff test impractical. Unless you start sniff her undies.

I'll make sure I take a long, slow hug next time so I can get a good sniff. Mmmm, long, side-to-side hugs

That's a solid idea.
Why risk incompatibility when all it takes is a sniff
