Basra
Ina Adeer, read where I wrote "based on logic and commonsense". Why do we punish criminals if h/her action is based on pre-ordained and not on free-will?
"Hello", Judge Hyper, I just shot my wife Basra".
"why did you shoot her" asked the judge?
"I shot her because she refuses to eat modestly and became obese".
"In that case, it should be considered qadar Allah and don't go near obese women."
That doesn't make any sense, all our actions are based on free-will. While the death of Basra in the Above fictional court case could have happened of her choking on marinated chicken wings.
Let's not humanise Allah SWT and bestow him with human emotions. Having Said that, He cares about all his creations. The problem is we were raised to fear Allah and not to love Him. If we don't pray it fast, we will be punished. When I was on dugsi Quraan, my teacher always emphasised the fear of Allah and told us Allah knows even if we fart. As a child and customs, farts were seen as something ceeb, I wondered why will Allah waste his valuable time to check if my fart smelled and made others feel repulsed. I thought, I was sinning. Through fear, we were told, if we don't pay Zekat to the poor, or to charities, we will be punished in the hereafter. The idea of doing a noble, humanitarian and helping those who are less privelleged than us is relegated to fear and punishment. Love Allah SWT, then one will see the hikmah behind prayers, Ramadan and helping the poor.

First of all, Fart is disgusting and wrong walaal. I don't care if it stinks or not. If stinks even worst I would think--but who is keeping track.
I agree with you on-- Allaah swt relationship with Muslim is based on fear than Love. And that we shouldn't be forming opinion of God based on human concept. But didn't I read that God made us from his image? Am I wrong?
Anyway--the "Fictional" example of Basra being killed by her obese husband is just as irrelevant if she died of a marinated chicken choking is good. It shows the method is irrelevant, but the result is what matters. Like Does God prefer Africans to Cadaan is irrelevant, but the resulting action of Africans being poor and dumb, and Cadaan being clever and rich is the result that matter! Just like u can do many task different ways and get to the same result. U can click with a mouse or use the key board key to obtain the same function. The method is irrelevant, that action or task is not irrelevant. Don't matter, what matters is the result u want to achieve and the energy u dedicate to it. Or the energy u produce?
(ironic that I ended my argument the topic of my original intention. lol It was meant to happen! )

Rumi on Free Will
“Yes,” said the lion, “but the God of whom we are servants set a ladder before our feet.
Step by step we must climb towards the roof, to be a fatalist here is to indulge in foolish hopes.
You have feet: why do you make yourself out to be lame? You have hands: why do you pretend not to have fingers?
When the master put a spade in the slave’s hand, his intention was made known without words.
Hand and spade alike are God’s implicit signs: to think about the end is God’s explicit instruction.
When you take God’s signs to heart, and you devote your life to fulfilling that indication,
You will be given may hints of mysteries, the burden will be removed from you, and you will be given authority.
Do you bear it? Then you will be lifted up. Do you receive commands? Then you will be received.
If you accept God’s command, you will become the spokesman. If you seek union, then you will become united.
Free will is the endeavor to thank God for God’s beneficence: your failure to accept responsibility is the denial of that beneficence.
Thanksgiving for the power of acting freely increases your power. Denying responsibility takes the gift of free will out of your hand.
Your irresponsibility is like sleeping in the road: do not sleep. Do not sleep until you see the gate and the threshold.
Beware. Do not sleep, inconsiderate one, except underneath that divinely given fruit-laden tree,
So that every moment the wind may shake the branches and shower upon the sleeper spiritual desserts, and provisions for the journey.
Abjuration of responsibility is to sleep among highwaymen and the devil: should the rooster that crows too early be fed or butchered?
And if by turning up your nose at God’s signs you deem yourself a brave and wise man, then consider more deeply and see you are less than a man, something weak and foolish.
The measure of understanding which you possessed is thus lost: and a head from which understanding has been severed becomes an eager ass,
Because ingratitude is wickedness and disgrace: it brings the ingrate to the bottom of Hell-fire.
If you are putting trust in God, put trust in God as regards your work: Sow the seed, then rely upon the Almighty.
