I think there substance to what he is saying, although the message was probably lost in his arrogant delivery. The issue is motherhood/being a homemaker isn't as valued or seen as being productive like holding a job.

She makes a valid point too, that not everyone will be happy to live life in exactly the same manner. Women make trade offs all the time- most times it's not by choice though, although they perceive it to be. Women should be empowered more, so choices don't necessarily come with trade offs.

Usually, it is not a choice. Most men can't afford to keep their wife at home even if they want to. Either she takes welfare or she needs to go to work. And lately even welfare wives have to work part-time. But if your husband is rich of course every girl will agree. Maybe that man is rich. But every single young man dreams that he will become rich until he gets married and realizes that either his wife goes to work, welfare, or they will get a divorce. I just saw another couple divorce, because of that. Girl refused to work or get welfare, so he is getting another wife.

Mom should stay with the kids unit they are old enough to goto Elementary school than rejoin the work force.

Most companies have a generous maternal leave for moms.

Actually.... Average Maternity leave in America is only 12 weeks. Not sure about other countries. If you don't come back to work by then you will get fired. If you didn't already get fired. Some shady companies plan to fire you as soon as you say that you are pregnant. Government jobs are better with supporting pregnant women, but even they expect you to come back to work.
