Re: How do I delete my blimmin account?
Okay guys, this is my last post. I would like to give you guys a few pieces of advice before I leave:
1) Work-life balance is very important. Don't be f-king up your marriages cos of work for example.
2)Look after yourself mentally. You can do this by being self aware so know when there is a problem. If you don't know, you can't act. Also, take some time out for yourself. Plus, volunteering is very good for mental health if you're depressed for example. Don't be in isolation for too long. Humans weren't created to be alone. Make friends etc. Also, the deen is good for your mental health. Finally, seek professional help if you need it. There's nothing to be ashamed of. Just like you can be physically sick with Diabetes or something, you can be mentally sick. It's part of the deen to look after yourself as well!
3)If you're married, divorce should be a last resort. It even says so in the Qur'an. Work at it before you give up. Also, do not bad mouth your wife/husband to other people and putting him/her down etc. My colleague does that and it's not a good look.
Asking for advice is different to badmouthing. The former is okay and the latter isn't. Iyo, if there is no way of saving your marriage and you wanna leave, leave. Do not stay together for the kids! That is a big mistake. Kids are not stupid anyway and can tell when you're unhappy plus they want you to be happy.
4) If you see something wrong/injustice, speak up. Fuck what anyone else thinks or says. 'Bad things happen cos good men stand by.' I think that's the saying.
5) Smile. It might stop someone from taking their own life. I remember being in Stratford Starbucks when this woman smiled at me. Walahi I was rock bottom but it did make me feel a tad bit bitter even if it was just for a few minutes .A smile is powerful. Plus it's sadaqah.
6) If you've done fucked up shit in your life, sinned etc., it's not the end of the world. You can still ask for forgiveness etc.
7) Finally, don't be judgemental. 'You know my name , not my story.' That kinda thing. There's usually a reason why a person is a certain way.
You don't have to take my advice obvs but I thought i'd give it anyway.
Ma'asalama everybody. I know make this account inaccessible. Here's my email (not main one obvs.) if you want to contact me :
