Why was it named Ceel Afweyne when the town is located in Ceerigabo district?

Ceel Afweyne town is located within Ceel Afweyne district, the point within the district border line where it changes direction denotes the surrounding areas of the town itself.

Good point BD I didn't see it from that prospective, but it's still very wired.
If you looked at the 2nd map you'll see that Ceerigabo & Ceel Afwyne are almost
vertical and very close while the two districts are representing a very wide landmass.

I wounder what was Siad Barre thinking when he made and named that entire district over a town that lies in the extreme border?

At least in our case the border meanders around the town, on the other side of the region, it cuts right through Badhan town, zero fucks given

You Barre did them wrong, niggas are sitting between Badhan & Ceerigabo districts.

Ceel Afweyne is in a good company ... relatively.
