Maya. It shows how biased the society is by treating 2 people who have done the same Danbi different. Allah treats them the same but the society give a smile to the boy while label the girl as wanted. It also shows the society holds the girls accountable even after they repent. Waxaas dhan waan ogahay. But I took a position and kind of understand where the guy is coming from in a man's perspective. That is when gender comes in. Girls are quick to welcome the guy if he tells her I have a past but I am a changed man. For guys, that is when all the questions and haunting starts. Its not fair to the girl as well. That is why a lot of Somali sisters who had past marry Muslim converts because they do not care about the girl's past. I think its a culture thing as well. I would not be so perfect to just forget about everything and accept the girl with her past. That is why I would not take the risk. See it carries on even in marriage. No, I think the guy was in the wrong. We all got a past, we make bad decisions, make mistakes, change, grow. It's part of life. I don't think you can be mad because of that. Either accept people for who they are, or move on. Happy to see that they worked things out though
