Turkey and Russia resetting relations; Erdogan happy to talk with his "friend" Putin

Post by FAH1223 »

If Turkey and Russia were not massively at odds over Syria, a geopolitical shift of Turkey from NATO would be in the cards.

That is politics at its finest moment. They can bilaterally cooperate, Turkey needs gas and the Russian Tourist $$$ and both can still be on opposite sides of the Syrian civil war. A Machivellian politics. Countries don't have permanent friends or enemies, but only permanent interests. The moral of this story is, don't fuck up your country and rely on others to rescue you.

After the failed coup, turkey has been accusing the west and the us in particular of being supporters and helpers of the coup. Russia on the other hand apparently gave turkey a warning prior to the coup. If this spreads further, then it would be in both of their interests to keep a closer relationship. Turkey may even potentially change their position on syria if things hit the fan with the US, and EU states.

Ina Adeer, it's too early to speculate that this move was intended towards the U.S because the Americans have a base in Turkey and NATO has its own base. The Turks very well know that the U.S will never extradite the Gullan leader back to Turkey. In my humble opinion, this action is based on economics. If the Turkish economy collapses, so will the ruling Party''s support among the populace.

After the election in the US, things will heat up between Turkey, Russia, US and its allies. With the way all of the Neocons are rallying behind Hillary Clinton, It is very likely that a nuclear war (Malhama) will happen.

During the second liberation of Constantinople, Rum (could be Russia) will come to the aid of the Muslims, who are voicing Allahu Akbar in their effort to liberate Constantinople. In the last failed coup in Turkey, Muslims - who took to the streets and confronted the units of the military that led the coup -were chanting with Allahu Akbar. But since Constantinople is not fully free yet, its story is far from being over. As the hadiths tell, the final liberation of Constinople will happen after the major war (Malhama). This is also the time Dajjal (False Messiah) will appear.

To Muslims, try to get yourself familiar with the hadiths and verses in the Noble Qur'an that deal with this topic.

Much respect for Sultan Erdogan, i did not expect this.
I fear for his life though,
The hegemon does not take disobedience lightly, sooner or later he will feel their wrath.
I do not think Putin can save him..

Yeah he's in trouble and is getting the Chaves treatment. Remember Chaves had a coup put against him and the public in Venezuela put him back in power just like Erdogan now. As they say history repeats itself and Erdogan is now running to the Russians as he was back stabbed by the West just like Chavez

How this ends though no one but Allah knows and we can only pray Sultan Erdogan takes Turkey back being a Superpower like the Ottoman days and be the hegemon of the Muslims

If not get ready for WW3 and the nightmare scenario where the East and West Collide. The battle will start in Syria and end with the fall of Constantinople. Looks like the Syria part which is one of the last signs of the day of Judgement has already got started. Things will only accelerate from here be prepared

Its not as simple as that.
Erdogan is in an unenviable position, how he handles this will decide his future and the future of Turkey.
On the one hand he has been betrayed and used by his overlord the US, but the US has a stranglehold over the Turkisheconomy.
Turkey is nearly dependent on hot fast moving funds from investors to keep the economy afloat, and suffers from severe balance of payments deficits, due to large energy imports.

The US has a nuclear option, they can press a button and the turkish economy comes to a halt, mass protests, and starvation on the streets and you will see the people lynch erdogan and beg the americans for forgiveness.

On the other hand, the Russians are a major trade partner and the sanctions devastated large sectors of the economy.
Turkey depends on Iranian and Russian oil and gas for energy.
It gets cheap oil and gas from them and they cannot afford qatari or American LNG imports.
If they cut off the gas, the turkish economy goes kaput.

Now neither side has reason to destroy turkey for now,

Erdogan needs to balance both sides, play both sides.
he is not doing a good job of it, its hard having the US as your pimp, he is very demanding.
Putin understands , so even though he abhors erdogan, and so do the Russian public,
Putin is removing allot of the sanctions, and pumping money into turkey to keep it afloat.
and China and Russia hardly do anything major alone anymore, there are large chinese funds available for Turkey.
Putin wants to keep turkey alive for the future,
If they can wean the turkish economy off the hotmoney, supply them with cheap oil,
build the nuclear plants as agreed. Then Turkey might in the future be strong enough to leave its master and become an independent country..

Till then Erdogan needs to continue playing both sides.
stay alive.
