Land prices are apparantly soaring in Hargeisa

I heard plots of land are being sold for 200 000 dollars, highest I heard was half a million dollars (not sure if the bid went thorugh), so whats going on??

Land in Hargeisa is bloated and over valued due to many reasons including lack of regulatory authority, tribal land grabbing (every fker claims his Sheikh hebel ancestry father used to herd goats there), corruption, diaspora, poor urban planning, lack of faith in the system and so called local gov.

The lack of urban planning and competent authority means essential or somewhat adequate resources such as water, roads and markets are limited to limited area.

If there was capable leadership that could deliver these essentials beyond the few blocks everyone would spread out and pay reasonable prices for land.

Everyone at the moment wants to live along the Berbera-Wajaale road or Hargeisa-Beledweyne-Xamar one.

if you are serious, and by plot you mean baloodh, 80x40m, then you are potentially quite wealthy, lookin at 250 000 dollars. I guess you bought back in the early 00s 2003 - 2008

The cheapest I had was $10k and that was from an extended uncle.

Where is this? Seems far too cheap/bargain.

A plot is usually 18x24.
