Al shabab extortion in Bakara market
I got a call from a cousin who owns a shop in Bakaraha. Some Al shabab called his phone and told him he gotta pay $ 20 000 or they will kill him. They told him to come to their HQ in Tooratoorow in Lower Shabelle. They are currently in negotiation about the sum.
This is happening to most business owners in that market. Al shabab are so broke at the moment their fundings has dried up.
The so called government as usual has no clue or they simply don't give a fuck about Al shabab gettin financed in their own turf. Wuxu xooleysnaa.

Fock, if i was him i Will cut my losses and flee to somewhere safe. No leaders in this cursed nation bro. Instead of focussing on totally eradicating this group, these niggaz are busy picking senators.

He should tell the government where they are but of course they won't care. They always show off their police yet they are never put to use

Halmogg, Al shabab and SFG are two sides of the same coin.
Pan, toorotorow is Al shabab controlled. Thats where their leaders are hiding in. The place has been attacked by drones many times. besides it is not a good idea to tell the SFG for two different reasons.
1: they r for sure keeping tabs on him since they know about his store and they got his phone number. If they see him talking to dowlada they will kill him.
2: even If the SFG Finds out the identity of the callers and arrest them. They will for sure be out of jail the next day. Al shabab just gonna free their guys by paying a small sum or the family menbers will.
I feel for the ordinary ppl living in the south.

Re: Al shabab extortion in Bakara market
If you put your self in the shoes of that person you can feel the fear. Alshabaab cemented their reputation in the hearts of the people. Receiving One phone call from them means your death warrant if you don't obey their rules. It's a very sad situation you only have few options flee from that place, obey their rules, move to the Government green zone or just take the risk and keep doing your job.
