Re: Ummah Forum Part II: Would you marry a pretty Somali girl?
How do we know you're not the person making that thread? It was created there today and you posted it here immediately, backed by the smile you threw here, clearly shows a pattern!
Re: Ummah Forum Part II: Would you marry a pretty Somali girl?
PureQ is not Somali. I remember reading she is an African American female somewhere. I think she started the thread.
Just saying.
Just saying.

This is another thread that PureQ posted: https://www.somalinet.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=374846
PureQ is either some ajnabi guy who has an obsession attacking Somali women, or she is a self-hating girl putting her community down by posting sh-t in other forums and then bringing them here.

Isn't Sheikh Isaaq a hairy Arab goat molester? Tell me, do you still believe you are a descendant of a dhegcas?

Unlike you I can't dismiss everything based on likes and tastes like a blond bimbo, there is something called evidence and scholarly argument, be a man and bring one instead of been an armchair historians.
I have state it many times I have no reason nor evidence to dismiss the conventional wisdom, sheikh isxaaq did exist lived in Maydh and founded the isaaq clan wether the majority are his descendents or not is irrelevant and individualistic.
Now I suppose you know who your fathher is and your father knows his father and so on , why assum your 18th ancestor just woke up one day and forgot who was his father and suddenly saw the Arab isxaaq and out of whims called him daddy.!! That's your logic, it's absorde.

Scientific evidence takes precedence over verbal and written accounts. Which means that the DNA test results of Isaaq who have taken it trump's anything written on a goat's arse a few hundred years ago by nomads with too much time on their hands. Written evidence isn't enough in this case, even the Greeks wrote that they descend from Hercules and obviously they don't. None of the stories corroborate with any physical evidence. Spoiler alert: No Isaaq has any Arab ancestry at all.
ac: And that goes for the named to who believe they descend from a Yemeni shoe-snatcher.
But you cajuus, still haven't answered my question. How do you reconcile your pathological hatred of arabs with an almost religious belief that you descend from an Arab who came on a magic carpet and macked with a xalimo?

Not really a valid argument. The same thing happens all over the Muslim world from Somalia to Singapore. There are people who claim Arab descent and claim to descend from the Prophet SAWS because they think it brings prestige and honour. Which is why I used the Hercules/Zeus example for the Greeks. Most Somalis have stopped believing in that nonsense now and thanks to modern science and DNA testing, it has been proven to be nothing but nonsense.X.Playa wrote:

As for my 18th century ancestors, I doubt they are the ones who came up with the story. Most likely our earliest ancestors to accept Islam decided to hitch their genealogy to that of a famous Muslim Sheikh and from there everyone started believing it without actually investigating it's veracity. Unless you actually believe you are descendant of the Prophet, because that is what Sheikh Isaaq was?

What's with the 'most likely' and guessing game you playing at?LiquidHYDROGEN wrote:Not really a valid argument. The same thing happens all over the Muslim world from Somalia to Singapore. Ninyow keep it simple. Before we talk about written records and books about the sheikh dhagcasnimo, let's start from our oral history. People always jump to other source to give credence to the lie. There aren't no books written by idoor/somali who testify to the Arab lineage. And if there are then they are recent. If they are not then they using a third party's account. And if they are not, they definitely do not have any oral tradition (gabay/suugaanta) to support it.
Xplayer in his research of the revision of the daraawish history, used, oral as well as written records to debunk the LIES. Even poems of the Sayyid himself to demonstrate some inconsistencies of what was claimed.
Why aren't there any unambiguous, clear cut, un-gorgortable gabay that testifies to this Arabnimo?
Why would isaq let a daarood man (qamaan bulxan) call them Dir without a reply to that insult? And don't forget, Qamaan Bulxan was a heavyweight and not a man who would have been allowed to get away with such blasphemy. I mean, calling isaq Dir when in actual fact they are ARAB.
Ma anaa waalan mise quartier 3 baa laga heesaya

I'm more concerned about our Ancestors who lived in the Somali peninsula prior to Islam.
