Subsahara africa is simply a cursed region. Most of the nations were better off under European colonization.

Does anyone know how much Somalia spends on importing khat? This stimulant needs to be taxed to the max.

lol can't find IMF updates for Somalia but accoring to unofficial sources it should be 8 BN now
It is higher than 8 most definitely
Somalia is an informal economy, conventional methods arent able to formulate size and scope of our economy.

We have nothing to be ashamed of in comparison to other African countries, in fact over 10 African nations that had relative peace are less developed than us and have a smaller economy.

Of that whole list only Egypt and south Africa are adequately industrialized the rest are carbon/natural resource based economies

With our knack for commerce and insha Allah exploitation of carbons, fish, and other minerals we will jump through that list

Ps: fuck world Bank/Imf
Hahaha keep lying to yourself. The delusional pride will keep you warm and people fed at night. The country has not progressed politically towards any sense of stability, still has an active and powerful insurgency, and deals with devasting droughts on a bi-annual basis, yet you still have the temertiy to claim we are relatively better off? A country whose goverment isnt closer to excercising a modicum of control throughout its territory nearly 30 years later, isnt one to have this unbridled optimism about.

Zoomalia is blessed with huge potential reserves of oil, gas, gypsum, uranium, coal and precious metals. We have large arable land in the south and the largest coastline in Africa. Unfortunately, we are cursed with the dumbest and most backward people on earth. We are missing the most important resource of all, intelligence.

human capital is the most important thing for a country to be successful look at japan look at china look at the Netherlands. somalis are not dumb i disagree but the leaders are dumb the population is smart but people need to be directed when i was in uni back in the day i was in a class with a China boy and the professor asked him ur people are anti democracy and it made u backwards as humanbeings he said in our country we have allot of dumb people they would sell out the nation to the enemies if they get a little freedom the professor was astonished he said u can spea freely here ur in enlightened west speak ur mind and dont just speak after ur leaders
