I don't know Gaas personally. But, here is my take of any diaspora politicians making their way back to Somalia.
1) Wadani/Nationalists, trying to sincerely help Somalia and the Somali people.
2) Con-artists. They are on a mission to make money of off the emotional masses whether on a "nationalism" manner or on a "qabil" manner i.e clan-enclaves.
3) They are going back to make sure to safeguard the interests of foreign entities, which in return plays back to #2 (making money for themselves and their family)
Gaas, Farmaajo, Ahmed Madoobe, Siilaanyo and any other "leader" in Somalia will fit in one of those.

Did Gaas write a book?
I guess the only thing we learned is Farmaajo secured his successor although he ended up betraying him.
Sheikh Sharif was innocent in all of this as always. The problem was Shareef Sakiin who wouldn't open parliament until Farmaajo resigned.

For Gas to betry Farmajo and claim that Farmajo stole money from the centeral bank is treacherous to say the least . Honesty wins all the time though . One is beloved federal government president. loved by all , and the other is now the most hated figure in Puntland ever !!
Truth has to be said

Treachery, back stabbing is their culture, they did it to Shariif, Farmaajo, Saciid, Yuulka, Barre etc.
What that document doesn't report is the reason why Farmaajo and also Shariif went with GAAS, because the Ethiopian's wanted to replace him with a stooge from P/land, hence this so called educated buffoon was picked from no where, to squash this plan, both agreed in private and I made a post about it.
Everyone thought this GAAS was a clean person, and again I had highlighted how in the 90's after C/Yusuf Ceydiid signed an agreement, he and a group he was with at that time publicly opposed this, C/Yusuf response to him and his group was beautiful, your kids are in America and have milk in their fridge, we have none. (publicly rebuked C/Yusuf for making that famous peace, he was a war monger)
Both Farmaajo and Shariif did not know about this, and both were informed, it was rumoured both dismissed it as sour grapes from Sacad, but people now have seen the realities, he attacked both, the capital city, tried secession and waged constant wars, and even now after the election he privately warned Farmaajo he won't last beyond 6 month, which I posted in SSPOT, dude even destroyed P/land.
No thorough background checks are done on these parasites, generalisations don't come out of thin air

Wtf, this explains so much! Thanks for posting this. This guy was evil and sick if he rejected the AY-Caydiid deal. This was at a time when MR, Leelkase rushed to Galacyo to save these folks from USC, after screaming 'tolayeey, tolayeey'.smooth wrote: Thu Mar 02, 2017 4:00 pm Treachery, back stabbing is their culture, they did it to Shariif, Farmaajo, Saciid, Yuulka, Barre etc.

If that agreement never occured a vicious, high causality war would have killed thousands from all of Mudug and create a huge crisis of epic proportions, wherein the environment would not allow a Galmudug or Puntland to even exist. It would have been a huge bloodbath.
This explains why Galkacyo has experienced sporadic wars that cause thousands to flee on both sides with no milk, on the cold sand in the outskirts, sometimes months on end until the colaad dies down. Ileen this warmongeror didnt like how Farmaajo has united Galkacyo in celebration of Farmaajos election. That made him angry i.e his secret promise to remove him in 6 months...

I'm not suprised at his betrayal & back stabbing, but how he is acting innocent lol
Re: Gaas' account on PM Farmajo's 2011 resignation
it is well known in political cirlcles that it was farmaajo who picked gaas as his successor but like smooth said farmaajo didnt like a mj ally of sakiin.
Re: Gaas' account on PM Farmajo's 2011 resignation
Its funny How Farmaajo rose from a little nobody being pushed around by the likes of Sakiin, to a heavyweight.
That said, lets be real a 'heavyweight' in one of the most lowly Countries in the world is hardly something to write home about. I hope Farmaajo succeeds in restoring dignity.
