How the TPLF is using the Somali Regional Gov’t to Survive
How the TPLF is using the Somali Regional Gov’t to Survive
After a year-long state of emergency the Ethiopian regime believed that the situation in the country had been calmed, but when activists announced a 2nd 5 day strike in late August it took them by surprise. The first strike earlier this year economically crippled the regime as tax revenue had been brought to a hault. So when the regime announced a tax-hike in August to bring in some much needed finances, Oromo activists launched a second strike. Strikers demanded that all political prisoners in the country be released. Once again shops were closed, bustling town centers, bus depots and roads were emptied. Just as with the first strike officials and security forces used heavy handed tactics to force businesses to open but were unable. The strike went on for days before reports surfaced on August 24th 2017 of bomb blasts in the town of Jimma injuring 13 people. Activists believed that intelligence were trying planning a campaign of false flag attacks on civilians across the country to smear the movement, so the strike was called off and business resumed.
Shortly after this Abdi Iley declared war on the Oromia region, intensifying Liyu Police attacks and rounding up Oromos in Jijiga. The so called “Oromo-Somali conflict” is a manufactured tool to divert attention of activists fighting the regime. And for the most part it has been successful. Activists who were focused on fighting the regime are now shifting resources to the border area to support the displaced people. Young Somalis, like a lot of the people that post on this forum have to read between the lines. Take the time to understand what’s going on in that country.
Yours truly,
Aliyyi the Oromo

Maybe TPLF is putting Oromo and Somalis against eachother in order to survive
They are using both Oromo animals (those who killed innocent Somalis) and LIyuu Dogs
but that does not justify the slaughter of 40 innocent Somalis by gangs of Oromo

"This is a list of the African nations ranked by Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at Purchasing Power Parity (PPP). Figures are given in International Dollars according to the International Monetary Fund[1]"
If you google "richest African nations" Ethiopia sits at number 8 behind: Nigeria, Egypt, South Africa, Algeria , Morocco , Angola , Sudan and then its Ethiopia. Not bad. Somalia sits at #42. Since this list is based off GDP we know that if SL got recognized today it would be better than #42 because we know SL has a higher GDP than Somalia, even though its not recognized. Ethiopia is fine, although I sympathize with our MUSLIM Oromo brothers I think there is a lot of sensationalism and exaggerating going on. You guys want your own country we all understand. However Ethiopia is fine and your 5 days strikes don't really affect it. Even though Oromo is the biggest population we all know you guys have no power. Barely anything to do with modern Ethiopias rise. Besides Ethiopia is in on the AMISOM racket going on in Ugandishu (Mogadishu), and owns 19% of the Berbera port. They will probably now take all their business from Djibouti Port to Berbera port. Why not? Its closer, and since they have ownership stake the more traffic they bring to Berbera port the more money they will make. I don't usually follow Ethiopian news but I highly doubt thats all the moves they are making.

Thats youth unemployment rate and its not 80% how about you do some fact checking Fagerino, and the deals with UAE/Ethiopia are already fixing the youth unemployment problem. Youth are receiving training at Berbera port. They are building a modern airport in Berbera. And expanding the Hargeisa airport. Thats more jobs for the youth. Ethiopia has already pledged trade and energy projects, those energy projects will create more jobs.

There is no question the TPLF has their hands in this dirty mess, but if someone sets their dog against you, do you lay down and let the dog attack you ? nah, you teach that dog a lesson and sue the owner, in this case the owner is Ethiopian government and the dog is Oromo. So Oromo need a karbash and the Ethiopian government need to be blamed for the incident.

Wrong Ethiopia is second poorest country in world after niger even according to their newspaper. Second, they lied about their economic growth which was fake. Ethiopia is in desperate need of ports because of their population 100 millions. Fourth, stupidest idea in world is giving 19% for Ethiopia although you have all these landlocked countries(Rwanda, Uganda). Ethiopia had 20 millions suffered from famine last summer.

fake news. My sources are verified by the world. You showed an article by one of the several minority groups in Ethiopia that want power. That 19% ownership came out of the UAE's cut. SL didn't give Ethiopia shit. Imagine the 2nd poorest country in the world being able to construct roads and rails by themselves , but Zoomalia can'tCanuck2 wrote: Tue Sep 19, 2017 7:47 pmZoomalia4Cvcks wrote: Tue Sep 19, 2017 4:41 pm "This is a list of the African nations ranked by Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at Purchasing Power Parity (PPP). Small question since K5 is Somali K, why do not Oromo respect the other people countries and regions? Just leave our country and run to Kenya or Uganda or Sudan

what the fuck is wrong with you? That 20 million figure is spread out across 4 nations. 5 million in Nigeria, 5 million in South Sudan , 7 million in Yemen, 2.9 million in Somalia. How about you actually research this.Canuck2 wrote: Tue Sep 19, 2017 8:04 pmZoomalia4Cvcks wrote: Tue Sep 19, 2017 7:52 pmfake news. My sources are verified by the world. now as for your drought claims. It is true that Ethiopia is going thru a pretty bad drought in its southern region. An article from yesterday said the number of those who need aid rose to 8 million yesterday. Majority of those affected are actually minority groups including Somali's.
An article from the Washington post
"Ethiopia, long associated with a devastating famine in the 1980s, returned to the headlines last year when it was hit by severe drought in the highland region, affecting 10.2 million people. Food aid poured in, the government spent hundreds of millions of its own money, and famine was averted.
Now it’s the turn of the lowland region, particularly the area bordering Somalia, where a drought brought on by warming temperatures in the Indian Ocean has ravaged the flocks of the herders in the region and left people without food.
With their sheep and goats mostly dead, the nomads are clustered in camps surviving on aid from the government and international agencies — but that food is about to run out."
Ethiopia would spend its own money, I just fear they don't recognize the people being affected as Ethiopian. Thats why they are asking for international aid. Obviously Somalia can't help its ethnic Somalis

Ethiopia spent $400 million of its own money just last summer fighting the drought in the high lands. If they don't have the money to take care of the drought in the Somali region of Ethiopia it is understandable. The only gripe I have is that Ethiopia was trying to hide what is going on in the Somali region. Maybe it makes them look bad internationally. I don't know. I wish they had said something way earlier.

Both Oromo and Somali regional govts are tplf dogs. Tplf kills Oromos via it's proxy and points the finger at Somalis. Then they kill Somalis via their agents and point the finger at Oromos. Its a recycled old game. So if anybody needs a lesson it's the fat tplf generals and intelligence orchestrating this.Adali wrote: There is no question the TPLF has their hands in this dirty mess, but if someone sets their dog against you, do you lay down and let the dog attack you ? nah, you teach that dog a lesson and sue the owner, in this case the owner is Ethiopian government and the dog is Oromo.
