Russia wants to enter somalia after they saw turkey .

USSR was superpower and that help Somalia to gain power and military training .

Now Turkey doing what USSR used to doing before by provide military support with humanitarian aid .

Russia cant add nothing now but if they start taking somali soldiers like they used to be and give tanks with air force to somali national army .

Maybe by then Somalis will start to open a deal with Russia.

I think the Russians are much better tactically in fighting terrorism and could train Somali troops on that front. Turkey and Russia have strengthened relations in the last year and Turkey even bought S-400s.

What the Russians have done with training the Syrian army has been impressive.

Israel bombed Damascus yesterday. Why didn't Russia protect Damascus?

The Syrians downed an Israeli drone. The Israelis hit a weapons convoy near the Damascus airport... in the past it's been Hezbollah.

The Russians basically agreed with the Israelis that they won't interfere with their fight against Hezbollah despite Russian soldiers fighting with Hezbollah in other parts of the country. Netanyahu has kept going to Russia over the last year.

If the Israelis were hitting areas like Homs province, Deir Ezzor, etc... the Russians would get pissed.

Looks like Assad & co got a type of Faustian relationship with Russia. Let's not forget what Russians have done to millions of Sunnis in Afghanistan, Shiishaan, other parts of the Caucasus, Somalia in 77', etc. Russia is doing what you admire about it as a spoiler, not 'cause it's the good guy. I would suggest you study Russia's history, particularly with regard to Muslims.

The Soviet Union and current Russia aren't the same.

You know, 10% of Russia's population is Muslim and only growing.

Russians are still Russians:
Crimea's Muslim Tatars allege systematic Russian oppression
20 AUGUST 2017
The Muslim Tatar community in Crimea has suffered many hardships since Russia annexed the peninsula in 2014.

Long neglected under Ukraine, many Tatars also opposed the Russian takeover.

Now their parliament has been outlawed, and many prominent activists have either been arrested or gone missing.
